The Institute run under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
The Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Kovalam is committed to the pursuit of Excellence in Hospitality Education.

Located at Kovalam, the Queen of beach resorts, the Institute is in proximity to many a resort hotels.

OBJECTIVE :  

To develop Human Resource professionals for the Hotel and Catering Industry and to oversee hotel and catering education and training in the country at the national level.  Training programmes are highly employment oriented.
